#AKRV2015

Her Bridal Party

Jessica Prak
Maid of Honour & Best Friend

Hoi guys, it's Jessica, Rachel’s best friend! I wanted to start off by introducing our story as to how Rachel and I tied the knot and became BFF.. but to be honest I’m not even sure how we actually met. Well aren’t I the best person to be considered the Maid of Honor?? BUT I DO have a good reason! Our parents were already best friends when they were teenagers, so I guess we may have met literally right out of the womb.. or maybe it was on our very first play date when we used sign language and pinky swore to be best friends forever.

Although I may not particularly know the details of how we met, one thing is for certain, a good husband would promise in their vows to clean the house or help do the laundry. MY vow to CBABY is to keep her laughing at sweet nothings to aid in the development of killer abs to impress Anthony before their honeymoon and to keep her as stress-free as can be.

With that being said, thank you Rachel Vong for choosing me to be your MOH. We shall continue our slumber party hot chocolate traditions, Joe Fresh adventures and Super Mario game nights while planning those mature and adult-ish life events. Such events like your WEDDING, where each and every time I mention or think about it, I’m still blown away by that gimungus ring on your hand and the fact that you’re getting MARRIED!=O

Vinna Vong
Bridesmaid
& "the sassy" Sister

As many of you are aware, Rachel has 2 older sisters.  One (Me) that is smart, funny, beautiful and totally awesome....and another (Elvara) that is just older.  My name is Vinna and I am very honoured that Chel has chosen me to be part of her bridal party and also given me the privilege of sharing many embarrassing stories of her.

This one time... hmmm...actually, I will save them for my speech!  What I will say about Chel, is that she truly deserves a fairy tail wedding full of fun and amazing memories, and I will be there to do my best to make sure that there is something that she can laugh at, whether it is Anthony dancing, or Anthony singing, or just Anthony being Anthony, I will be there to point it out to her like a good sister does.

I cannot wait until May 30, but until then, I shall be in my basement going through old photo albums of Chel in braces, Chel in 1990s clothes that she thought was so cool, Chel with bowl cut bangs that my dad thought was so cool... and so many more that I hope to share with all of you.  However, advanced copies are available for a small fee!  See you at the wedding!

Elvara Brevetti
Bridesmaid
& "the latina-at-heart" Sister

I am the proud older sister of two amazing women; well one amazing, and one annoying, but then again that’s little sisters.  I am honored to be a part of this very special occasion, as I have had the privilege of watching Rachel and Anthony grow into the beautiful, and mature couple.. well Anthony is still playing catch up.

It’s a proven fact that little sisters love to model themselves after their older sisters, and  Rachel has clearly based her sophisticated personality, tenacity, hard working mentality and sex appeal from me.  It is the job of the older sister to ensure her younger sisters shine the brightest, and Rachel is truly an example of the brightest star in the sky.  I am looking forward to this amazing event.  Weddings are a celebration of love, and Rachel and Anthony are the embodiment of a perfect couple that truly deserves the nickname “Cheesecakes".

Linda Ngo
Bridesmaid
& the "she knows me too well" Friend

Hi Everyone, I’m Linda and I had the pleasure of meeting Rachel in university. We met during Orientation on a very romantic boat cruise where she danced with me, and everyone knows that makes me lucky because Rachel can really dance. After the boat cruise that night, I drove her home and I suppose I have always looked out for her ever since. Here are some basic things to know about Rachel that I have picked up over the years:

 1) Don’t let her go hungry: she is extremely unpleasant when this phenomenon occurs. I try to carry a granola bar or snack with me if I am going to hang out with her because you never know when she’ll realize she’s hungry.

2) Never mention Boston Pizza around her. She got horribly sick one time and to this day is still traumatized.

3) She is a hugger. If you’ve met her, you’ve probably been lovingly hugged or even possibly gotten your ribs crushed by her. This brings me to my next point.

4) Don’t mess around with her because she’s pretty strong. If you haven’t noticed her biceps or witnessed her athleticism then I will at least warn you she can carry me around with ease. So try not to get in a fight with her because Anthony is not the only formidable opponent you will have.

5) This list can go on and on but the last point I would like to share is that Rachel and Anthony make an amazing team. The way they know, support, and take care of each other is something to really aspire to.

On May 30th, I look forward to celebrating the union of this amazing couple with all of you! I will be the one carrying granola bars in my pockets ^_^
